With 728 employees (as of 31/12/2025), our plant in the Barcelos region is one of the largest employers in the area. Many employees have been part of the Gabor family for a long time. The average length of service is around 22 years. All employees are covered by statutory health and social insurance and receive additional benefits on top of their basic salary. A monthly loyalty bonus rewards long-term loyalty.

Slowakei, Banovce

  • Production: around 42,000 pairs a week
 

In Slovakia, our site in Banovce is one of the largest employers in the region, with 961 employees. On average, employees remain part of our team for 15 years. All employees are covered by statutory health and social insurance. Canteen meals are subsidised by Gabor, as are eight bus routes, making it easier to travel to work from the surrounding areas.

At the Banovce factory, great importance is attached to a good working atmosphere with transparency and equal opportunities. We offer our own mentoring system for education and training, as well as flexible working time models that support families.
 
Participation in decision-making at our plants is a matter of course for us: Gabor employees are unionised in both Portugal and Slovakia.
